"Dharma Road"

A Documentary Written, Directed, and Produced by June Inuzuka

Welcome from the Director

"Dharma" in Buddhist philosophy refers to

"the road or true path"

Welcome to the Dharma Road Website!

Japanese Americans were once the second largest and oldest of the Asian American subgroups but they may soon be relegated to artifacts in American history due to high rates of assimilation.   My goal is to address both historic areas that have been overlooked and break out new, contemporary Japanese American stories beyond the well known internment narratives.  I am especially committed to increasing opportunities for Asian women by writing and directing unconventional roles and promoting women as leaders in my independent film projects.  I am currently working on a script featuring kick-ass Asian cowgirls.

Please consider becoming a site member to keep updated on the progress of the documentary.  This is entirely a private site and email addresses are not shared with anyone.

Thanks for visiting.   --June K. Inuzuka
